"As i was running through through the feilds, my mind was blank. i was running for my life, what else was there for me to do. i radioed in to call for help, or back-up, or something. no one answered. i half expected someone to come looking for me just because i have been away for a long time. i was mistaken. it seems like they dont care at all. i dont know why i am risking my life for them...." The time now is a couple of months before flask entered his jounal entry in chapter one. The elders and a couple of the higher ranking war martials are at a meeting in the underground base meeting hall. in there, it seemed to look like a warehouse with a couple bleachers at one end, and a circlular table where the elders and war martials have their meetings. the elders were Kosi, Moshti, Muidos, Gafferum, and Belter. they were seated on the right half of the table. it was white marble on their side, and black marble on the other side where the war martials sat. Today, the meeting was with the elders and two martials, Cowich and Latie (pronounced la [as in la when you sing] and tie as in katie]). "It is time we recruited all the robots we can," said Cowich, a more demanding than suggesting tone was what came out (robots can change the tone and feeling in their computer, allowing to emulate human emotions, despite how that robot may fell about humans), "we need to take action as quickly as possible. I fear that the end of our kind is approaching! We need to act as fast as we can. We don't need to wait for some human masiah to come and save the day!! what we need is an army to take on the humans!!!" The elders cannot speak, but they give messages through thought, as they share simulated brainwaves that they can manipulate into artificial thoughts heard by normal robots with the normal robots. when they transfer these thoughts, t is from them all at once. no one elder speaks alone. not yet, at least.... Paitence, we must wait until the time is right, and we will wait the man known as Jak arrives to help fight the cause. "i am tired of waiting!!! we must take action now!!! besides, i have checked the human database, and there is now record of a Jak Mannor in their files!!!" The human does exist. He will save us. We cannot tell you how or why he was created, only what his destiny is now. "Dammit, we are getting nowhere!!! come on, Latie, we are going!!! NOW!!!!" "Yes Sir." Latie was only there to keep Cowich from going beligerent as he had done many times before at these meetings. Latie was just glad that he didn't have to control his master, for last time he lost his head and it wasn't found for a week. "I can't believe they expect us to sit and wait!! We can't wait much longer. The Humans are bound to find out where we are sometime, and we can't afford to move again!!! God, it just pisses me off!!! Even if that Jak guy shows up, how is one human going to save us from a whole nations' army of his kind?" "Sir," said Latie in a shy kind of way, "isn't there supposed to be a meeting on who will become new elders? the old ones have decided that it was time they are destroyed, so that the robot community can have better, newer elders. They say that it will be held in one month, and that the man called Jak is supposed to show up then." "Hmpf!! I highly doubt that, but if it is true, then the elders must believe that it is our time." "I wonder if they will train that human, like they trained you, Cowich." "Don't you ever disgrace my name by comparing me or my actions with those filthy bastards!!!! Dammit, we need to realize what humans are. some want it to end peacefully with the humans, but that idea is a crock! I think i will try to become an elder so that i can force us to destroy those vile creatures!!" "Sir....."
